What is happening and when?
Please be advised that between Tuesday 26th August to Thursday 28th August, IWNL contractors from McAndrew Utilities will be conducting essential work on the boundary box containing your water meter. This work may include excavation and reinstatement.
McAndrew Utilities will make every effort to minimise disruption. IWNL apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
This essential work is vital to maintaining the long-term reliability of our network and ensuring accurate meter readings.
What this means for you
On Wednesday 27th August between 9am to 1pm, there will be a temporary disruption to your water supply lasting up to a maximum of 2 hours whilst the work is undertaken.
Additionally, from Tuesday, 26th August, to Thursday, 28th August, access to the designated area will be restricted, with barriers installed around the excavation site. Please note that vehicle access to the area will remain available during this period.
Things to consider before, during and after an interruption to your water supply:
- Water supply
Before the interruption to your water supply, it may be useful for you to fill up water bottles and store them in the fridge, or fill your kettle, to make sure you have enough water during the interruption.
- Cloudy water
After an interruption to the water supply, your water may look discoloured or cloudy. Run your taps for a few minutes and it should run clear. If you are concerned about the quality of your water, you can contact us; www.iwnl.co.uk/contact-us/ .
