What is happening and when?
Please be informed that commencing the week of January 13, 2025, IWNL contractors, GCB Utilities, will be undertaking essential work on the boundary box that houses your water meter.
These activities may occur at any time during the two-week period indicated below, but any disruption to your water supply will not exceed a maximum of four hours. GCB Utilities will make every effort to minimise disruption, and IWNL apologises for any inconvenience this may cause. This important work is necessary to ensure the long-term reliability of our network and to enable us to continue reading your meter accurately.
What this means for you
Starting the week of January 13th to January 27th, 2025, there will be a temporary disruption to your water supply lasting up to a maximum of 4 hours whilst the work is undertaken.
Things to consider before, during and after an interruption to your water supply:
- IWNL’s Priority Services Register
If you are of State Pension age, are disabled or have a long-term illness, and you feel you need a little extra help, we can add you to our Priority Services Register. To find out more, phone us on 02920 028711 or login to your online account; https://portal.iwnl.co.uk/log-in/
- Cloudy water
After an interruption to the water supply, your water may look discoloured or cloudy. Run your taps for a few minutes and it should run clear. If you are concerned about the quality of your water, you can contact us; www.iwnl.co.uk/contact-us/ .
