What is happening and when?

Please be advised that on Friday 4th October, Aptus Utilities will be carrying out essential works on the water connection in your area. The essential works will start at 10:00am and will be complete by 2:00pm.

What this means for you

During the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm, there will be a disruption to your water supply for a maximum of 4 hours which will commence at any point during those hours.

Things to consider before, during and after an interruption to your water supply:

If you are of State Pension age, are disabled or have a long-term illness, and you feel you need a little extra help, we can add you to our Priority Services Register. To find out more, phone us on 02920 028711 or login to your online account; https://portal.iwnl.co.uk/log-in/

After an interruption to the water supply, your water may appear discoloured. This is normal following a repair, you can run your cold-water kitchen tap until this clears. If you are concerned about the quality of your water, you can contact us; www.iwnl.co.uk/contact-us/ .

After an interruption to the water supply, your water may appear cloudy/milky due to air bubbles trapped in the water supply. You can complete a glass test to see if the milky appearance is due to air bubbles. 1)  Fill a glass of cold water from the tap, 2) See if it clears from the bottom to the top 3) If it does, this indicates the milkiness is due to air bubbles and that the water is fine to drink.

If your water doesn’t clear in the glass test above and the milky/cloudy water is persistent, then please contact us: www.iwnl.co.uk/contact-us/
